Riyad al-Ilm
Riyad al-Ilm is a charitable partnership between Islamic Relief Malaysia and Galeri Chandan via charity art show in August 2010. The proceeds from the show through the selling of artworks by the participating artists will be channeled via Islamic Relief Malaysia to establish libraries for the orphans and underprivileged community in Perak.

This event aims to raise more than RM65,000 through the sale of artworks that will go towards the establishment of libraries in Pusat Jagaan Anak-anak Yatim Ummu Sofiah, Kampung Jarum Mas, Sungai Nyior, Terong, Taiping and a community library at the Church of St. John The Baptist, Sungai Siput, Perak Darul Ridzuan.

Approximately 40 national artists have agreed to produce and put up their artwork for sale to help raise the funds for the project. These include Ahmad Shukri Mohamed, Stephen Menon, Rafiee Ghani, Wong Seng Tong and Umi Baizurah Mahir. Several other artists have also decided to donate all of the proceeds due to them from the sale of their artworks towards the establishment of the libraries. For its part, Galeri Chandan has graciously decided to donate its entire share of the proceeds to the fund.
